ACC Stats Only:
PPG: Vasquez 21.5/Scheyer 18.8
Assists: Vasquez 6.4/Scheyer 4.8
FG %: Vasquez 47%/can't find Scheyer's he's not in the top ten
3 point%: 44.6/Scheyer 37.6
It's really not even close.

Hate to toss a fly into your ointment, but Vasquez has those numbers b/c he's one of the only guys on Maryland's team with an offensive arsenal. Scheyer has Singler/Smith splitting stats with him. The argument has to be that Vasquez could put up the #'s Scheyer is with two other stat-eaters on his team, which I don't believe is the case.

I don't care if Delaney doesn't win POY, but if he is left off the first team all-ACC it will be a joke

um, no. thats not true at all.
when a team relys on vasquez like UM does, you HAVE to stop him. if he gets off, UM wins more often than not.
at the NBA level it might be like that, but when a team relys on a player like UM does so hard, when he gets going the team gets going, and they are tough to beat.
when he is shut down, they lose more often than not.

If a player is a play-maker, he will find the open guy(which there will be probably every time down the court with that defensive strategy) and the rest of Marylands team can hit an open shot, no matter who they are. It's easier to shut down 3 other players, let Vasquez get his(not leave him unguarded or anything, but nothing focused) and the other have a decent IF he does. That makes sense when dealing with not a scorer, but an all around good play-maker. I have a hard time believing that there was teams that took that approach this year.
